- Very much inspired by the works of Pieter Bruegel the Elder. I have taken a small section of his painting entitled 'The Triumph of Death' and made it my own. Strangely I painted this at the same time as another Bruegel version of the peasant dance. One looking at life to the full the other at death. I hope the viewer does not look at it in too much of a morbid way but can take in the beauty of the scene. As usual I have favoured my liking for painting in oil on canvas.
