- Very much inspired by the works of Pieter Bruegel the Elder. This picture is from a very small section of one of Bruegel's winter scenes but with some added characters. I wish to give the viewer the notion that this is a happy village scene playing in the snow and on the iced pond. As usual I have favoured my liking for painting in oil on canvas.
